If we were in charge of RSVPs for Karl Stefanovic’s impending wedding to Jasmine Yarbrough, it’s safe to say we’d be significantly confused.
With the nuptials just days away, yet another change to the star-studded guest list has occurred, and this one has us all scratching our heads.
Karl’s long-time pal of 10 years, James Packer, has reportedly chosen to pull the pin at the ninth hour in order to attend his mother’s 80th birthday instead. Ouch?

According to the Daily Telegraph, James’ mum Ros is understood to have flown to Argentina to meet her son, who was previously engaged to pop Princess Mariah Carey. He and his mum will continue the birthday celebrations there.
It’s a surprising move from the billionaire, who was even touted as a strong contender for being Karl’s best man for the big day.
What’s more, the Today Show host was reportedly seated in the front row of Packer’s wedding in 2007.
The pair’s friendship has been undeniable (up until now that is) – they have enjoyed a number of holidays together with their respective families, including a trip to Bora Bora last year.
This year Karl and Jasmine also joined Packer and his socialite girlfriend Kylie Lim on his boat in Italy.

Despite Packer’s absence, a plethora of other guests have started making their way to Mexico, where the lavish three day wedding celebrations will take place.
Karl and Jasmine were seen leaving Sydney earlier this week with Stefanovik’s two youngest children Ava, 13, and River, 12. Accompanying them was Jasmine’s sister and brother.
When the entourage arrived in LA airport, they were also met by another surprise guest: Karl’s son Jackson, who up until then was repordtedly choosing to miss the wedding because of tension surrounding Karl’s very public divorce from his mum Cassandra Thorburn after 21 years of marriage.
Other well-known personalities believed to be on the elusive guest list include Julie Bishop, Roxy Jacenko, Alan Jones, Shane Warne and Sylvia Jeffreys.
Meanwhile ex-wife Cassandra, who needless to say did not receive an invite, has shown she is stronger and more resilient than ever following the break up. She will reportedly be surrounded by close friends over the wedding weekend.
And the wedding celebrations will be no small affair – the first official wedding event will be on December 6 – a beach party to welcome the couple’s 150 guests.
“The following day is a relaxation day and the day after the wedding is a recovery day,” a source told Woman’s Day.
“This is when the partying really kicks off.”
Karl and Jasmine – who legally wed in a civil ceremony sometime mid-year – have written their own vows and a celebrant will officiate the black tie ceremony.
