Network TEN are reportedly developing an Australian version of England’s wildly popular variety show, Saturday Night Takeaway.

TV Tonight reports that Julia and Chris are on-board to host the series.

The variety show features a wide mix of segments, including musical numbers, hidden camera pranks and prize giveaways. The series, which is filmed in front of a studio audience, also features special guest appearances.

Are Chris and Julia heading to another TEN series?

The highly successful U.K. version is hosted by comedians Ant (Anthony McPartlin) and Dec (Declan Donnelly), and has been running for 15 seasons. Saturday Night Takeaway has already seen international versions succeed, such as in the United States, where it was hosted by Neil Patrick Harris.

Like their Australian counterparts, Ant and Dec also hosts the British version of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

TEN is yet to confirm if Julia and Chris’s version of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, will return in 2019, after the fourth season wrapped up in March earlier this year.

Before they hosted together, Julia previously played Gemma Crabb in Nine’s series House Husbands for five seasons. Chris showed off his work as a veterinarian in TEN’s Bondi Vet for eight seasons, and now stars as a panellist on TEN’s Friday night lifestyle show, The Living Room.

Chris and Julia have incredible chemistry on-set.

The network are yet to comment on the reports, though we’d love to see Julia and Chris reunited for another show!

The chemistry between the hilarious duo has been undeniable since they first met at a 2014 Logie Awards event, where they presented the list of nominees together.

There’s no doubt they would make excellent hosts if the planned series moves ahead. Let us know your thoughts in the Facebook comments.
