Sarah Jessica Parker might have been known for her shopaholic character Carrie Bradshaw but in real life the actress is super thrifty.
A few days ago the proud New Yorker was walking home when she noticed someone chucking out a perfectly good sink on the sidewalk.
The star told her 2.3 million Instagram fans that she couldn’t bare to walk by the cream cast iron and enamel sink – almost hidden among bags of rubbish on the street in New York’s West Village. Instead, with help from a friend and a yellow cab she salvaged her find.
“I named her Bedford and with the help of a friend and the good fortune to flag a taxi, she is now home with us. Right where she belongs. Just waiting for a good scrub and some new hardware. Isn’t that a wonderful bedtime story?”
Well what is nice to hear is not every celebrity these days is a fan of a throwaway society.
