The Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William may have been worried about attending the 70th annual EE British Academy Film Awards, but judging by the wild applause the couple were greeted with – they’re a very welcome addition to the 70th annual EE British Academy Film Awards at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

Despite living just down the road at Kensington Palace, the royal couple were the last to arrive and made one hell of an entrance.

The mother-of-two wore her chocolate locks up in a voluminous low ‘do while statement diamond earrings added a dramatic touch.

Locally, Australian actress Nicole Kidman, who is nominated for the Best Supporting Actress in Lion, walked the red carpet without husband Keith Urban as he prepares for the Grammys in LA.
