If there was an Oscar for wardrobe malfunctions – Kate Winslet would win that too.
Chatting to People the mum-of-three explained that she’s just like us as she tells the story of her worst ever moment in fashion – it begins with her walking into the bathroom wearing a dress and ends with…well, it’s probably best that you find out for yourself.
“I wore a dress by a designer, that is going to have to remain nameless, to a 60th birthday party and the dress did up from the bottom to the top with a zip in the back,” she explained.
The Titanic star then proceeded to go to the bathroom with her zippable dress – and that’s where things stared to go from good to really, really bad.
“I zip the dress down and the end of the zipper comes off in my hands,” Kate explains, “and I am standing there wearing a time bomb.”
“Oh my God, and the whole dress, the whole of the back of the dress swings around to the front and I’m standing there completely naked – basically wearing a black cape that is dangling from my neck.”
And just when you think it couldn’t get any worse than that – it does.
“I’m staring at myself in the mirror, and I’m actually laughing at my own reflection, because what am I going to do?
“We had to stuff the dress in the janitor’s closet and wrap me in a tea towel and I had to proceed with the 60th birthday party wearing a tea towel.”
Wow, and we thought coming to work with a t-shirt inside-out was bad –this takes the cake Kate.
Although we have no doubt she probably looks great in a tea towel.
