The stunning blonde was lucky enough to be chosen to model the $3 million fascinator, which was created by milliner Natalie Bikicki and world renowned jeweller John Calleija.

Made out of leather and latex, the luxurious headwear features 1,264 diamonds and came complete with its own security team!

Earlier this week, the mastermind behind the extraordinary piece revealed it took about eight months to design, and was inspired by Roman mythology.

“I wanted to make it young and totally unique … it took months of work,’’ Natalie told the Herald Sun.

Meanwhile, Kate, 27, said she couldn’t wait to wear it!

“I’m going to have a full-on posse,” she said.

“It’s a good day to wear it because it’s one of the most fashionable days of racing so we thought it was a ­perfect day to showcase it.”

Designer Natalie Bikicki shared a snap of her creation via Instagram, along with the caption: “The World’s Most Expensive Hat $3,000,009.00, over a 1000 man hours, 1264 Diamonds and a lot of imagination!”
