And while we loved to pour over her pitch-perfect fashion choices, we’re equally as curious about exactly what beauty products are stocked in the Duchess’ bathroom cabinet.

Now, a royal insider has revealed one of the bargain beauty buys Meghan relied on heavily during her pregnancy with little Archie, in order to prevent stretchmarks.

This $20 cult product is sold at the supermarket and chemist so it’s super accessible – and it’s none other than the classic Bio Oil.

“Meghan’s pregnancy standby is Bio Oil, which is non-greasy and does the job effortlessly without messing up her clothes or five-star sheets,” a royal insider told The Sun.

“She’s also keen to avoid stretch marks and takes preventative action to keep them from appearing.”

The mix of calendula, lavender, rosemary and chamomile oils keep the skin hydrated and supple, and when combined with vitamins A and E, which are excellent antioxidants, create a perfect blend of ingredients that women have been using for years to prevent stretch marks.

Almost every woman in the world has stretch marks – those lines that appear on the skin when we gain or lose weight, or our bodies change, like in puberty – and as the body stretches to accommodate a baby, it’s very common for stretch marks to form on the stomach, breasts, legs and bottom.

While whether or not you get stretch marks often comes down to a mix of genetics and luck, keeping the skin hydrated with a product like Bio Oil can help reduce the likelihood of them forming.

The royal insider also revealed that during her pregnancy, Meghan has been using a product referred to as “air tights”, meaning it gives the legs the look of wearing stockings, without having to wear anything at all.

“Meghan uses Vita Liberata Body Blur to give her legs a healthy sheen,” explained the source, referring to the instant body makeup.

“These products are known as air tights and promote sun kissed athletic legs.”

That product ranges from $60-$75, depending on where you buy it, and is easily available online or from David Jones.

Meghan is also reportedly using another body oil to keep her body smooth and supple.

“She’s a fan of Elemis Japanese Camellia Body Oil, which contains plant collagen, antioxidants and vitamin E,” the source added.

While it seems that exact product isn’t available in Australia, a different variation, the Elemis Franipani Monoi Body Oil, is available for $86 from Mecca.

So what other cheap products is Meghan a fan of?

Well, according to an interview the Duchess gave before she was officially a royal, her swear-by product is none other than the $10 NIVEA Q10 Firming Body Lotion.

This body moisturiser is a bathroom cabinet classic and is stocked at the supermarket – so you can throw it in your trolley during your grocery shop.

Speaking to Beauty Banter before she married Prince Harry, Meghan said she uses the product “religiously”.

“It’s honestly my favourite lotion on the market, it’s so affordable, and makes my skin look and feel amazing. I would buy a case of this at a time if I could find it,” she said.

It turns out Meghan is also a fan of the humble face wipe, which are great for those lazy days when you can’t be bothered to properly take off your makeup.

Meghan’s favourite? The $7 Biore Daily Deep Pore Cleansing Wipes.

“They’re great to keep in the car and on your nightstand when you have those horribly lazy nights that the thought of getting up to actually wash your face seems unbearable,” Meghan told Beauty Banter.
