Growing up by the beach my whole life, I really understand the importance of looking after your skin and protecting it. It’s always been my priority to take the sun safe approach whenever possible.

(5) Where did you shoot The Base campaign?

I shot the campaign in a New York studio. This was the first time for me as a creative director and model and client. It was very daunting, but I gathered a great team around me who were just as passionate about this as I was. I chose Italian photographer, Dario Catellani to shoot the campaign because every time we work together it is gentle, seamless and inspiring.

It’s rare that I ever just sit in a makeup chair and breathe easy, I am always stressing about every little detail. But having such Australian professionals like makeup artist Victoria Barron and hair stylist Jenny Kim and Ilona Hamer styling me – women I am in constant awe of – that effortlessly take control of a brief and add their own unique flair and skill – gave me so much confidence and ease.

(6) What have you enjoyed most in creating your new business?

I believe every woman is beautiful and the most exciting thing has been working with a team who understands, that what we are aiming to do, is to offer the modern woman the best line of products to achieve a healthy, safe glow – a look of vitality and wellbeing but our core, our base, is always to enhance someone’s inner beauty.
