Chelsea Handler has taken to Instagram to share a beauty secret that’s worked wonders for her – but it’s far more extreme than your average overnight cream…
The comedian and talk show host shared a before and after image of herself, recommending ProFractional laser treatment to her nearly 3 million followers, and the results were visible immediately.
“Before and after. #profractional laser”, she captioned the image. “It’s f*cking awesome and no-one is paying me to tell you about it. Bam!”
The left image looks likely to have been taken during the treatment, since her face is covered in red spots that look suspiciously like blood, while the right side image shows her skin looking smooth and clear.
But what exactly is ProFractional laser treatment? According to InStyle, the treatment creates smoother, clearer skin that is resurfaced from the inside out to stimulate the growth of new collagen.
It improves skin tone, smoothes fine lines and evens out skin discoloration, and can be used to treat scars, wrinkles and sun damage.

At nearly $1,500 for one treatment, though, it’s not so kind to your bank balance.
Clinical Assistant Professor Michael Gold, author of the Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Cosmetology, says it’s important to understand that “not all FT [fractional thermolysis] devices are the same”.
“With so many devices now available with numerous claims of clinical success, deciding which FT device to use can be confusing”.
However, the general consensus is that the treatment is mostly safe, and very effective in treating scars and blemishes.
Chelsea’s Instagram followers are praising her for her honesty. The 41 year-old has been forced to publicly deny other surgery rumours, including talk that she’d had breast enlargement surgery in 2015.
At the time, she tweeted: “Um … there have been a lot of men who’ve touched my boobies, but not one of them has ever been a doctor”
The comedian has also been making headlines of late after making it clear that her allegiances lie with close friend Jennifer Anniston in the wake of the Brangelina split.
During a monologue on her talk show recently, she called Jolie a “f*cking lunatic”.
