Melbourne loves to turn it on every Australia Day, hosting a stunning fireworks display along the harbour.

This year, the fireworks will be released from various barges on Docklands Harbour at 9pm.

There are plenty of awesome spots to catch a glimpse of the beautiful show. Most councils will strongly recommend that you leave your car at home and take advantage of public transport.

Weโ€™ve found five of the best free vantage points to watch the fireworks with your family.

Australian Open

If youโ€™re lucky enough to have scored a ticket to the Australian Open on Saturday night, youโ€™ll be treated to a fantastic view of the fireworks from Rod Laver Arena following the Womenโ€™s Singles Final. (Image: Getty)
