A huge congratulations to Zara and Mike Tindall, who have confirmed they are expecting their second child.
A spokesperson for the pair, who are currently in Australia on a working holiday, said in a statement: “I can confirm Zara is pregnant with her second child.”
A Buckingham Palace spokesperson revealed The Queen and Royal Family are “very pleased” about the pregnancy.
The equestrian champ, 36, and former England rugby player, 39, are already the proud parents to Mia Tindall, who turns four on January 17th.
The baby will reportedly be born in the British summer and the duo’s next public appearance will be at the Magic Millions Carnival on the Gold Coast on January 13th.
Mike and Zara have attended the event Down Under for several years now, with Zara being a patron of the Magic Millions Racing Women sect and Mike a proud ambassador for Magic Millions.
On Christmas Eve last year, Zara and Mike made the devastating announcement they had lost their second child.
It’s believed Zara was about four months into her pregnancy.
“Very sadly, Zara and Mike Tindall have lost their baby. At this difficult time, we ask that everyone respects their privacy,” a rep for the couple said at the time.
Speaking about their loss in May, Mike revealed little Mia had been their “saving grace.”
“One thing you do learn is how many other people have had to go through the same,” Mike told the Sunday Times.
“The saving grace for us has been Mia, our daughter who is now three. However down we feel she will come running up in our faces,” Mike continued.
“When I was playing [rugby] I hardly saw her; now we can see her grow up. I can take her swimming and I can take her to Ninja Tots. You’ll never be able to see her there because she disappears in a puff of smoke.”
After Prince William and Duchess Catherine welcome their third child in April, this newest addition will become The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh’s seventh great-grandchild, and Princess Anne’s fourth grandchild.
Overall, the bub will become the 19th in line to the British throne.
Princess Anne famously rejected a royal title for her children Zara and Peter and it’s a decision that Zara has always been grateful for.
“I’m very lucky that both my parents decided to not use the title and we grew up and did all the things that gave us the opportunity to do,” the mother-of-one told The Times.
A huge congrats to Mike, Zara and Mia!
