Zara Tindall has always been a low-key royal, preferring to skip the pomp and focus on leading as normal a life as possible away from the limelight.
But it seems trying times call for new and unexpected measures, because she’s just stepped out of her ordinary bubble to give a rare (and exciting) insight into her actual bubble – and it’s only cemented how down to earth she really is.
As she hunkers down in her Gloucestershire abode with her husband Mike and two young daughters Mia, aged six, and Lena, aged one, the granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth gave an update on how the family are faring on live national television.
Speaking to the country’s popular morning program Good Morning Britain, the royal gave a rare insight into her country home, stating: “We are very lucky out in the country and on the farm – we’ve still got to look after the horses.”
She added that it was “hard being locked up and not being allowed to do what you normally do,” but she urged fellow Britons to follow government and World Health Organisation advice to stay indoors as much as possible.
“I can’t imagine what it is like for people in the city – but try and stay inside and keep the pressure off the NHS,” she said on the program.

With minimal cream coloured walls, some shelves and a single kettle in the background, it looks like she prefers to keep things simple when it comes to her home.
As for her isolation style, Zara is ever the low-key fashion icon, opting for a cosy grey hoodie with subtle stripes for her news interview.
We can definitely relate – our wardrobes now consist of ample oversized jerseys, could-be-pyjama tops and shorts and trusty old sweatpants (sorry Karl Lagerfeld…).

In the historic speech, the Queen spoke of the need for Britons to band together and act responsibly as the world battles the rapid spread of the deadly virus COVID-19.
Of the poignant royal moment, Zara said: “We’re obviously very proud, and what she said is completely 100 per cent what the country needed.”
“I hope everyone listened and we can try and get back to normal and, as we’re trying to do today.”

For this interview, Zara mixed things up with a chic high neck cable knit jumper.
