The Queen’s granddaughter gave birth to a baby girl weighing 7lbs 12oz at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital earlier today.
“Mrs Michael Tindall today safely delivered a baby girl,” a palace statement read. “Mr Tindall was present at the birth.
“The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Princess Royal, Captain Mark Phillips and Mike’s parents have been informed and are delighted with the news.”
The baby’s name has not yet been announced, but will be revealed in the next few days.
The baby is Princess Anne’s third grandchild, the Queen’s fourth great-grandchild and is 16th in line to the throne.
