He’s finally wrapped his tour of Australia and New Zealand meaning Prince Harry is back on British soil and can spend some precious bonding time with Charlotte, who was born on May 2nd.
The 30-year-old was spotted making his way into William and Kate’s country residence Anmer Hall by Twitter user Jake Cottrell, who took to the micro-blogging site to reveal: “I have just seen Prince Harry driving through Brandon in the nicest Range Rover I’ve ever seen.” This was later confirmed to The Mirror by royal insiders.
Harry did try and meet the newest addition to the royal family during a quick visit back to London in late April, but Charlotte was late, “something she’ll have to work on” Harry joked.
Harry was delighted to meet his niece.
Harry’s meeting with his darling niece was delayed due to his work with military in Australia which was followed by a tour of New Zealand.
However as delighted as Australia was by our favourite red-haired prince’s visit, it did cost the country a pretty penny! Fairfax reported the cost of Harry’s month-long stay fell in $115,000 bracket.
In comparison, Prince Harry’s previous trip to Australia which consisted of him staying for two nights, cost the government $150,000. It is safe to say the royal cut costs this time round!
The 30-year-old needn’t worrying about budgeting anymore, now that he is back home. And it looks like he’s back in the swing of things and back on the saddle, so to speak.
Prince Harry adores playing polo and it was for a good cause, supporting WellChild, MapAction and Centerpoint over the weekend.
Over the weekend, Harry competed for the Jerudong Trophy, a charity polo match at the Cirencester Park Polo Club in Gloucester, England.
He sizzled on the field in a green polo emblazoned with the number 1, unfortunately things fizzled for the prince as his team lost 8 to 7.
The polo match was supported by three charities. Harry is patron for WellChild, working with the families of sick children. He is also a patron for second charity MapAction which aids those in disaster zones.
Prince William is a supporter for the third charity, Centerpoint, who provide a safe living environment for homeless children.
Who knows, perhaps young Charlotte will take some of her first public steps on the polo field, just like her big brother Prince George did last June!
