Just last week, Now To Love reported the whispers of who would be replacing Claire Foy, Matt Smith and Vanessa Kirbyโs ruby-encrusted shoes in the next generation of The Crown.
Now, according to PEOPLE, it seems that Kirby, who played rebel royal Princess Margaret in the hit Netflix series, has taken to Instagram to all but confirm who will be replacing her.
And the next star to take on the coveted regal role? British actress Helena Bonham Carter!

Indeed, Kirby posted a picture with Bonahm Carter to Instagram, along with he caption: โHonoured @thecrownnetflixโ.
Bonham Carter is a fitting pick for the role for myriad reasons, with the top being that the 51-year-old is well-versed in all things royal, having been nominated for an Oscar for her work as Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Margaretโs mother, the Queen mother, in the 2010 film The Kingโs Speech.
The move to cast older actors in these roles comes as The Crownโs third and fourth seasons aims to cover the Queenโs life during the 1960s.

Helena Bonham Carter has already rubbed shoulders with royaltyโฆ
Opening up to PEOPLE while promoting The Kingโs Speech eight years ago, Bonham Carter revealed that sheโs always โrespectedโ the royal family.
โIโve always had respect for them as individuals,โ she said.
โIโve never had any envy for that kind of life. The sheer amount of duty! You also donโt have too much personal freedom. It is a gift to know how to be a public figure.โ
We canโt wait to see how Bonham Carter plays the rebellious Princess Margaret!
