While most of us woke to news of the Duchess of Cambridge’s pregnancy this morning blaring from the radio or plastering TV screens and websites, the royal baby’s uncle in waiting, Prince Harry, found out via email.
Prince Harry is currently serving as a soldier for the British Army in Afghanistan, where he will remain on tour until January.

Unable to be reached by phone, William informed his brother of the news over email, the BBC reported.
The couple were forced to announce the pregnancy earlier than intended as Kate was rushed to hospital with acute morning sickness in the early hours of the morning Australian time.
They kept the pregnancy, still yet to tick over into the second trimester, so secret that even the Queen didn’t know before the public was informed via an announcement from the palace early this morning.
“The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news,” the announcement read.
Prince Harry will welcome his first niece or nephew, the Queen’s third great-grandchild when the royal baby arrives which is expected to be around July next year.

He also takes a bump in the line of succession to the throne.
Currently third in line, the baby’s arrival will mean Harry is pushed to fourth in line to the throne.
