George’s adoring public can’t help but shower the royal cutie with presents – even though chances are that he can’t quite comprehend what most of them are yet!
As he celebrated his first birthday, check out some of the wackiest gifts George has received so far.
Now that is one excessive birthday card! Created by Hangar8 Aviation at London Oxford Airport, for Prince George’s first birthday, this hand-painted Bombardier Challenger aircraft is thought to be the most expensive birthday card ever created – valued at approx AUD $220,000.

Animal Rights group PETA created this cute cruelty free royal regalia for George for his birthday in the hope that he will grow up to be a head of state who “will reflect British values by always insisting that his ceremonial robes are trimmed with compassionate faux fur”.
Not many one year olds already have their own boat: HRH George does! The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were presented with this gift for George while on the royal tour.
Prince George has his own royal crocodile – the Northern Territory’s gift to the Prince that was hatched on the day Duchess Catherine’s pregnancy was announced. Named George the Royal crocodile (and kept down-under rather than in the ground of Kensington Palace!) he even has his own Facebook page.
George the croc shared his first birthday with the Prince yesterday, with this photo posted to his Facebook page, captioned: “From one Royal George to another: Wishing Prince George a very Happy 1st Birthday from everyone in the Northern Territory – Australia’s Outback”
When in Sydney on the Royal tour, William and Catherine were presented with matching customised cricket bats for the whole family!

Elders from the Samburu tribe in Kenya (pictured) gifted him a goat and a bull which, with four heifers, would be used to start a royal herd. They presented them to the British high commissioner to Kenya, who visited the community on behalf of the royals.
What baby wouldn’t want a precious orb from the pope? Pope Francis presented the Queen And Duke Of Edinburgh with this ornamental orb when they visited Rome And The Vatican City in April this year. Made from the semi-precious stone lapis lazuli and inscribed with the words “From Pope Francis to Prince George of Cambridge.” It was also accompanied by an ancient manuscript which we can’t imagine George reading anytime soon.

For the Prince’s Christening, Romanion Count Tibor Kalnoky gifted him a field of flowers in the Transylvanian hills.
When Prince George visited Sydney as part of the Royal tour, he was presented with a giant stuffed wombat by the Governor General that was even bigger than he was!
