Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and her husband Prince Daniel have released the first official portrait of their newborn boy, Prince Oscar.
The European royals shared the picture of their five-day-old son on the Swedish Royal Palace’s official website and Facebook page on Monday morning.
“The first picture of Prince Oscar! The Prince is photographed at Haga Castle, five days old,” the post read.
The baby, whose full title is Prince Oscar Carl Olof, is the couple’s second child was brought into the world on Wednesday night in Stockholm.
The proud father greeted reporters outside after the birth, and couldn’t wipe the smile off his face.
“I have not had time to feel just yet how it feels to be a father of two. But it feels good so far,” Prince Daniel said.
The couple’s first child, a daughter, Princess Estelle, four, was already asleep when her brother was born.
Proud grandparents King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia were overjoyed by the baby news.
“We share the Crown Princess Couple’s great happiness and Princess Estelle’s pleasure to welcome her little brother to the family. We wish the family a wonderful time in peace and quiet and we very much look forward to seeing our grandchildren,” they said in a statement.
