At an event for the Battle of Britain Fighter Association, the next-in-line to the throne struck up a conversation about grandchildren with one of the guests.
“We were talking about grandchildren, he was saying Princess Charlotte does sleep through the night and it was much easier on mum than Prince George,” the invitee told the Press Association.
The 66-year-old Prince is clearly smitten with the latest addition to his family as he proudly described his granddaughter as “very beautiful” to locals from the town of Padbury just days after her birth.
Prince Charles’ wife, the Duchess of Cornwall also got people talking when she later stepped out at Jamie’s Farm in London’s Waterloo with an impressive accessory.
The Duchess held onto a sequined clutch shaped like a British icon – a can of Heinz Baked Beans.
The bag is from British designer The Rodnik Band and gave her very elegant outfit a spot of pizazz, as she fulfilled her duties as President of The Elephant Family during a fundraising event.
The 67-year-old teamed the head-turning clutch with a beautiful summer dress, a white blazer and elegant pearls.
Elephant Family, a conservation charity, is a cause close to the Duchess’ heart, as it was set up by her late brother Mark Shand who tragically passed away last year in New York.
