The whole world’s eyes were fixed on Princess Charlotte as she was cradled in her mother’s arms just hours old on May 2, so it comes as no surprise that every new parent wanted to dress their bub just like the world’s most famous newborn.
The new Princess was rugged up in a beautiful wool bonnet from tiny Spanish boutique Irulea and since that fateful day, they’ve been flooded with requests ever since.
Co-owner of the store, Ayajo Villar told People magazine, “We’re overwhelmed, the store is full of people and they want any item related to Princess Charlotte.”
The month-old royal also wore the same brand for her first official photos, which were taken by the Duchess of Cambridge.
In the iconic photographs, the Princess sports an unbearably cute hand-knitted white jumper over a top with a gorgeous frilly collar.
The tiny fashionista was also wearing the brand’s trousers, or as the boutique calls them, Polaina, which sell for a reasonable $50.
Ayajo told the magazine: “Right now I’m getting a lot of demand for the little polaina, as well as the little handmade shirt that she was wearing under her sweater.”
The store, which is located in San Sebastian in Spain’s north, is known for its luxury linen. Its co-owner remained tight lipped about who made the order for Princess Charlotte’s attire.
But it was revealed: “She bought the sheets and pillowcase, as well as the two outfits, in bone and the white that we’ve seen parts of, along with a car seat cover and some baby blankets.”
No doubt all eyes will be on what Princess Charlotte wears next!
