Prince Andrew may have quietly jetted into Australia but his ex-wife, Sarah the Duchess of York, is making sure his hard work doesn’t go unnoticed.
This week, the Duke of York has brought his Pitch@Palace program Down Under and it seems Sarah has been cheering him on from home.
The networking event invites leaders from all over the world to share their business pitches and gives “entrepreneurs the opportunity to meet the people who can help make their business dreams become a reality.”
It also supports entrepreneurs by providing them with the best opportunities to access mentors and advisers, distribution systems and supply chains, connections and investment and Prince Andrew is at its helm.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, the Duchess of York uploaded a sweet tribute to her former husband congratulating him on the Aussie leg of his passion project.
“Congratulations to @hrhthedukeofyork for #pitchatpalace Sydney @sydneyoperahouse and Melbourne. Well done to all the entrepreneurs #australia,” the 59-year-old penned alongside two photos of Andrew in action.
It’s not the first time the Duchess has backed Andrew’s initiative. In April last year, Sarah and the couple’s two daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, joined Andrew at St. James’s Palace in London for the annual event.
“They’re involved, as is the Duchess. She has a number of different things she is helping with. It’s a family business – we’re getting on with it,” Prince Andrew, 58, told People at the time.
Naturally Fergie’s touching tribute caused many royal fans to speculate if the friendly exes may get back together. Don’t worry, we’ll never stop wishing it either!
“Cut to the chase and get remarried already,” one commented.
“Oh how I would truly love to see you 2 back together maybe you are, either way it’s nice to see you both so supportive of each other,” another agreed.
“Love you two!!! True love at its finest!! Soul mates. A remarriage would be such a fabulous happily ever after,” a third noted.
“Marry your Prince again,” chimed yet another supporter.
Indeed, the couple are very aware of how much people would love to see them reunite but in a recent interview the mother-of-two silenced the chatter for once and for all.
“So many people have asked me that, but we’re so happy with the way we are right now. We enjoy each other’s company; we allow each other to blossom. I know it sounds like a fairy tale but that’s the way we are, she revealed to the Daily Mail when asked if they would ever re-marry.
“July 23, 1986 [the Duke and Duchess’ wedding day] was the happiest day of my life. Andrew is the best man I know. What he does for Britain is incredible; no one knows how hard he works for his country,” she explained, while adding she is not divorced from him but rather divorced “to” him.

“My duty is to him. I am so proud of him. I stand by him and always will. The way we are is our fairy tale.”
The Yorks announced their divorce in 1996 but have remained firm friends since their split. Up until 2015, they lived together at their Royal Lodge in Windsor.
2018 has been a huge year for Sarah and Andrew with the proud parents coming together once again to support their youngest daughter Princess Eugenie as she married Jack Brooksbank in October.
While a romantic reunion may never happen, we just love seeing these two get on so well!
