While the world still reels from Prince Andrew’s disastrous BBC interview, his ex-wife Sarah, Duchess of York, has been putting in some extra effort for her admirers.
The red-headed royal recently celebrated her 60th birthday, and instead of replying to her well wishers with a generic response often used by royals, and dispersed by their internal staffers, the Duchess has gone above and beyond by penning a personalised letter to every single fan.
Avid royal fan and blogger Gert’s Royals, who has sent a number of letters to various members of the regal family over the years for birthdays, anniversaries and other milestone events, shared the unique occurrence on her Twitter account.
The blogger revealed that Sarah, AKA Fergie, had sent two different responses after receiving birthday wishes from Gert.
“While I have received a few double replies over the year, this was the first time the replies were drastically different,” the blogger wrote.
The royal enthusiast explained that Sarah’s first reply was a hand-signed personal letter, which was dated to mark her birthday on October 15.
She also received a second letter that was hand-signed, and was sent on November 2.
The first personal note had some sweet anecdotes from the Duchess, as seen in an image of the card shared by Gert.
Sarah wrote: “I always enjoy receiving personal correspondence and reading your kind words.”
She also referenced the blogger’s kind donation to Sarah’s charity, Street Child.
“Street Child is committed to helping millions of children back into school and to transform their lives. Thank you for helping them do so,” Fergie wrote.
The Duchess of York celebrated her 60th in style, hosting a party that featured a star-studded guest list including Robbie Williams and Ellie Goudling, according to HELLO!.
The milestone birthday came just as her ex-husband’s scandal involving his friendship with accused sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
This month, the Prince delivered a bombshell interview with the BBC, where he attempted to clarify his involvement with Epstein.

The interview was received with widespread criticism, and led to Prince Andrew stepping back from his public duties for the foreseeable future.
Fergie, meanwhile, was spotted driving into Buckingham Palace last week, where is is understood she would speak with Andrew.
Reports state the Queen had already left the Palace when Fergie had arrived.
