Her daughter’s royal wedding is only days away, but for Sarah Ferguson, it appears the work never stops.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, the 58-year-old announced a new initiative she’s working on, and it’s for a very important cause.
The mother-of-two said she will be launching a Street Child appeal for Indonesia.
Ferguson wrote: “As a mother, I have found the stories and scenes of children affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Indonesia utterly heartbreaking.”
“They need our help. That’s why we are launching a special appeal – please support it if you can”.
She ended by sharing a link to the imitative, encouraging people to donate.
Sarah is well known for her dedicated charity work, especially when it comes to helping children.
Recently, she said her work with the Children in Crisis charity actually saved her life: “It [Children in Crisis] has probably saved my life, too, by giving me purpose through hard times. As my grandmother always said, ‘when you feel bad about yourself, go out there and do something for somebody else,” she said in a piece for The Evening Standard.

Sarah’s two daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie, are proving to take after their mother when it comes to charity work – the pair were recently announced as ambassadors for Children in Crisis, which has merged with Street Child UK.
In September, Princess Eugenie gave a rare interview with podcast Global GoalsCast, where she spoke candidly about modern day slavery and how a trip to India inspired her to fight against it through the initiative Antislavery Collective.
She discussed how a visit to Calcutta in 2013 changed her perspective and opened her eyes to the issue of slavery across the world.
“That was the first time we ever really saw what modern slavery was and human trafficking and what really that is in the modern age, ” Eugenie said.
Eugenie will wed her long-time boyfriend Jack Brooksbank at St George’s Chapel in Windsor on Friday. The wedding is set to garner global interest and will be broadcast live on television, much like Harry and Meghan’s nuptials in May.
With all eyes on Eugenie and her family, now is a great time for them to be promoting some incredible causes for the greater good.
