Meghan’s half-sister, Samantha Markle has reportedly suffered a broken ankle after a run-in with paparazzi in the US, according to her boyfriend.
The news comes after reports Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle, 73, has undergone heart surgery following reports of a heart attack and confirmation will no longer be attending his daughter’s wedding to Prince Harry this weekend.
Now it seems another member of the Markle family has been hospitalised.
53-year-old Samantha, who is wheel-chair bound after a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis in 2008, and her boyfriend were apparently in a car accident while trying to avoid paparazzi in Florida.
Mark, Samantha’s boyfriend, told TMZ the pair were driving near a toll booth when they had a “paparazzi confrontation.”
He claims a photographer swerved in front of them while trying to get a shot, as the driver mark then apparently had to avoid the pap’s car, which led to their vehicle colliding with a concrete barrier.
He continued by explaining that after the accident, Samantha’s foot appeared to be twisted backwards.
