This man’s commitment to a year-long Royal Wedding prank is nothing short of amazing

Prince Harry would approve!

Before we lost ourselves in the wedding madness of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, there was the Royal wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton.

Back in April 2011, the couple’s wedding was the most significant royal event since the wedding of Charles, Prince of Wales, and Lady Diana Spencer in 1981.

But, did you know a little prank from Harry almost spoiled the whole event? According to Paul Courtney, cake maker of William and Kate’s chocolate biscuit cake, Prince Harry pretended to box with the cake topper and gave everyone a heart stopping moment.

But this man might just have one-upped the Prince when it comes to Royal Wedding pranks.

“About 8 months ago I was just browsing through eBay and came across a DVD lot of 120 copies of the Royal Wedding on DVD,” reveals Reddit user Blink4160.

“I decided I needed these DVDs to pull a prank on one of my best friends,” he continued.

After ordering the DVDS, the plan was to randomly leave one DVD at his house per week – and then thing became more interesting.

“This was around 2 months before his birthday. I figured that if I kept things as random as possible he’d never suspect me so I celebrated his birthday 2 months early by leaving a cookie cake with a DVD one week.”

“And then leaving a balloon with the DVD wrapped up and tied to it in front of his garage the 2nd week.”

“Then to really throw him off I decided to take an ad out in the local paper to wish him a happy birthday.”

“In September we took a road trip to a concert in Arizona. While we were gone I had my sister leave another DVD. This time she put it under the windshield wiper of the car with this note. “

“During Halloween I was going to carve the pumpkin but thought it was too time consuming so I wrote on it.”

“Then I cut this spot and jammed the DVD in it. “

“During this prank Kent got engaged. One day at work we got a huge box delivered so we decided to use it in the prank. We were hoping that he would think it was a present from his girlfriend because we did this not long after they became engaged. We sat one DVD inside with a bunch of trash.”

“We then wrote this one the outside of the box to make him think it was from his fiancee.”

“And then his dreams were quickly crushed when he opened the next part of the box.”

There were also some photo shopped pictures – they’re just too funny for words!

“I did this one on Christmas Eve. We photoshopped this picture and I got it printed off. I got a frame and wrapped it up on Christmas Eve with a DVD and left it on his porch. I’m assuming by this point in the prank he knew exactly what it was when he saw it.”

Finally, I had 90 remaining DVD’s and decided to just scatter them all over his yard. I did this the night before, and he was out of town, so they stayed there for the entire day before he made it home to pick them up. I checked yesterday, and they are all stacked up on his porch.”

This Reddit user’s friends never found out who was behind the prank – and we have to say, it’s absolutely genius.
