And itโ€™s no different for the British Royal Family, whoโ€™s strong genes and features are cropping up in the next generation.

Whether itโ€™s Prince Williamโ€™s Diana-like pout, Archieโ€™s Harry-esque ginger hair or Prince Georgeโ€™s sweet cross-over with his dad Prince William โ€“ royal watchers canโ€™t get enough of pointing out the similarities.

But perhaps the most special royal lookalike is that of Prince Harryโ€™s and his late paternal grandfather Prince Philip when he was a military man.

In the wake of the Duke Of Edinburghโ€™s recent passing on April 9, royal watchers have revisited the pairโ€™s spooky likeness.

But itโ€™s Princess Charlotte who perhaps has the most royal doppelgangers out of anyone. In May last year, after the palace released a series of new portraits to mark Charlotteโ€™s fifth birthday, twitter melted down after it was highlighted just how much the middle Cambridge child and Princess Margaretโ€™s daughter, Lady Sarah Armstrong-Jones, or Lady Sarah Chatto, looked alike.

One of Princess Charlotteโ€™s more unexpected royal twins is Lady Kitty Spencer (L), Prince Williamโ€™s maternal cousin when she was a little one.

Gan-Ganโ€™s double? When these three photos of Princess Charlotte were released to mark her fourth birthday, many royal watchers have pointed out Charlotteโ€™s likeness to her great-grandmother, The Queen, when she was a little girl.

While thereโ€™s no denying thereโ€™s a strong cross-over with Queen Elizabeth, weโ€™d like to point out just how much Princess Charlotte takes after her mother. Those lips! That hair!

And just as we thought she was Kate mini-me, along comes dad Prince William at the same age and we literally canโ€™t make our minds up now.

Or is she more like Granny Diana? Those pursed lips and that cheeky expression of Charlotteโ€™s reminded the world of a young Princess Diana (L) when she was the same age.

โ€œI would loved her to have met Catherine and to have seen the children grow up. It makes me sad that she wonโ€™t, that they will never know her,โ€ Prince William has said of not having Diana around to meet George and Charlotte.
