To make it easier for you to navigate your way through the endless stream of baby name news, and royal mania, The Weekly has compiled everything you need to know right here.
PRINCE HARRY has spoken out about his new niece all the way from our own sunny shores. Calling the new Princess “absolutely beautiful” in a statement from the Palace, Prince Harry has said that he “can’t wait to meet her.”
Unfortunately for our favourite red-headed royal, he will have to wait to meet her. The Prince is stationed in Australia with the Australian Defence Force, and won’t return to London until the end of May.
Whilst staying in Perth, Prince Harry delighted the locals by attending a West Coast Eagles game at the Subiaco Oval, and popping into a few local restaurants and burger joints, including The Village Bar, The Stables, and Flipside Burger Bar where he refused to dine in the VIP and cheekily ordered a ‘Queen Victoria’ burger.
PROUD GRANDPARENTS, both royal and common, have finally met the young Princess. Prince Charles and wife, Camilla, along with Michael, Carole and Pippa Middleton made the trip to Kensington Palace yesterday to meet the newest addition.
Prince Charles, who had previously revealed he was hoping for a Princess, expressed his joy in a statement, saying that he and Camilla were “absolutely delighted” about Princess Cambridge.
There has been no statement from the Middletons but we can assume they are equally as chuffed.
THE QUEEN hasn’t said anything about her new great-granddaughter. With words anyway.
Despite not releasing a statement of congratulations or delight, we can safely assume the Queen is pretty happy. She was spotted at an engagement on Sunday wearing a bright pink ensemble.
Pink for Princess, perhaps?
AFTER GIVING us so much good news lately, Kensington Palace has finally let us down. The Palace has revealed that the Duke and Duchess will not release the name of their Princess today.
It is expected that the name will be revealed either tomorrow or the day after.
At present, bookie odds for the name stand at Alice (5:2), Charlotte (3:1), Victoria (11:2), Olivia (6:1), Elizabeth (7:1), and Diana (9:1).
THE NEW PRINCESS is barely a day old, and she is already worth £80 million.
The little lady has provided a boost to the English economy in commemorative memorabilia to the tune of £80 million and she’s not stopping there.
The Mirror has theorised that the young Princess could add an estimated £1 billion to the British economy before the age of 10. And that’s just in collectives, not factoring in the amount of money the tiny aristocrat will add in fashion and accessories, after she wears something for the first time, of course.
