The whole world is celebrating the arrival of Prince Harry and Duchess Meghanโs son, but the new doting dad himself is just head over heels.
The sixth in line to the throne has made no secret that he loves kids and has wanted to be a father for years so when he stepped out to confirm the arrival of his new baby boy, it was pretty clear that he was over the moon.

โItโs been the most amazing experience I could ever have possibly imagined,โ a delighted Harry told the press on Monday shortly after Meghanโs birth.
โWeโre both absolutely thrilled and so grateful for all the love and support from everybody out there, itโs been amazing so we just wanted to share this with everybody.โ
โEvery father and parent will say your baby is absolutely amazing but this little thing is absolutely to die for. Iโm over the moon.โ
Now that Baby Sussex is finally here, we take a look back at everything Prince Harry said about his son before he was even born. Hold onto your ovaries, things are about to get super cute.
On announcing the pregnancy
Who could forget when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex revealed their exciting news to the world on day one of their royal tour of Australia?
Speaking at Admiralty House, Prince Harry told the press, โWeโre both delighted to be here and really impressed to see you serving beer and tea at an afternoon reception, in true Aussie style. And we also genuinely couldnโt think of a better place to announce the upcoming baby, whether itโs a boy or a girl, so thank you very, very much,โ he shared.

On his excitement to announce the news
The proud new royal dad has visited Australia on numerous occasions as a single man, but on his first trip with Duchess Meghan, he thanked the audience at the Invictus Games Opening Ceremony for their support.
โFirst of all, thank you for the welcome you have given Meghan and I over the last few days. I have been so proud to be able to introduce my wife to you and we have been so happy to be able to celebrate the personal joy of our newest addition with you all,โ Harry said, followed by massive cheers from the crowd.

On whether heโd prefer a boy or a girl
Like many modern parents, Harry and Meghan wanted their babyโs gender to be a surprise. Even though we now know that Baby Sussex is a boy, theyโve already reportedly designed their gender-neutral nursery at Frogmore Cottage.
However, the Duke of Sussex revealed his preference at the road cycling event at the Sydney Invictus Games last year when someone in the crowd called out to the red-headed royal, โCongratulations, I hope itโs a girl!โ
To this, Harry replied, โSo do I!โ
At Fiji University, one boy also told the duke, โIโm predicting itโs going to be a boy,โ while Harry responded, โEveryone is predicting itโs going to be a girl.โ
Baby Sussex may be a boy but we have a feeling Prince Harry is pretty delighted anyway!

On preparing for the hard work
Royal reporter Carolyn Durand says that as he and his wife greeted well-wishers along the Viaduct Harbour in Auckland, Prince Harry told one fan that he was โover the moonโ about becoming a dad.
When the woman said itโs a lot of hard work, he responded, โOh, I know โ Iโm ready!โ
We can just imagine Harry practising his nappy changing skills at Frogmore Cottage!
On the sweet nickname for their unborn child
When Harry delivered a slightly less formal speech in the Abel Tasman during the coupleโs tour of New Zealand, he revealed a sweet nickname for the unborn bub.
As he thanked their accompanying guests during the engagement, the prince said, โFrom myself and my wife and our little bump, we are so grateful to be here. We bring blessing from my grandmother the Queen and our family.โ
Kensington Palace also posted an official message from Prince Harry thanking New Zealand for their hospitality during the royal tour. The message was accompanied by a gorgeous photo of Meghan cradling her bump in a beautiful forest called Redwoods Tree Walk in Rotorua, snapped by Harry himself.
