Queen Elizabeth might be the ripe age of 94, but she’s no stranger to modern technology.

The British royal certainly just proved as much after joining in a Zoom call with four health officials this week as they lead the deployment of the COVID-19 vaccination across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

In the newly released footage from the video call, the Queen is seen looking bright as ever as she chats to the officials about the COVID-19 vaccine.

“It didn’t hurt at all,” she told them of her own experience, after receiving the first of two injections several weeks ago.

She added that the vaccine had made her feel “protected,” which helped to encourage others to receive their own jab.

For the call, which the Queen took inside her residence at Windsor Castle, the ever fashionable royal opted for a bright pink ensemble.

Always radiant, she also added a beautiful addition, her Diamond Clematis brooch, which she wore on the day of her engagement to Prince Philip way back in 1947 – a very sweet touch!

The brooch was no doubt a subtle, yet very sweet show of support from the Queen for her husband, who is currently in hospital recovering from an infection.

According to the latest statement from Buckingham Palace, the Duke of Edinburgh remains at King Edward VII’s Hospital in London where he is receiving medical attention.

“He is comfortable and responding to treatment but is not expected to leave hospital for several days,” they said on Monday.

Given the Queen’s calm and bright demenour in the video, and the lack of further update from the Palace, it certainly seems as though the Duke is on track to make a recovery.

Speaking to the Chief Commercial Officer of the NHS in England, the Queen told her: “Once you’ve had the vaccine you have a feeling of, you know, you’re protected, which is I think very important.

“I think the other thing is, that it is obviously difficult for people if they’ve never had a vaccine…but they ought to think about other people rather than themselves.”

The impressed Monarch added: “I think it is remarkable how quickly the whole thing has been done and so many people have had the vaccine already.”
