The decor on The Queen’s mantelpiece is not put together lightly.
Indeed, Her Majesty’s Audience Room, located at Buckingham Palace, is a place of high interest for many, not least because it is the very spot a number of dignitaries and honorary citizens frequent for the most special of meetings.
On Wednesday, The Queen hosted UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson for a brief audience at Buckingham Palace. This marked one of the first times they have met in person since the pandemic began.
Until now, the pair have held their weekly audiences via telephone call.
Of course, one can’t look past a visual of The Queen in her Audience Room without scanning for royal gems.
And by gems, we mean photos of her family members, which are usually tucked away on her mantelpiece.
For this week’s audience, we were treated to seeing two pictures of The Queen’s grandchildren, Prince William and Prince Harry and their respective spouses.
Indeed, one framed photo features William and Kate from their official engagement shoot back in 2010.
In another, Harry and Meghan’s own engagement shoot is pictured from 2017.
This is a sweet sign that the Queen will always hold her family dear – no matter where in the world they are.
And it might not be too long before the 95-year-old is reunited with her grandson Harry.
He is expected to fly from his new LA base into the UK for the unveiling of a statue in tribute to his late mother, Princess Diana, on her 60th birthday.
WATCH: New dad Prince Harry takes a quick break to announce the date of his upcoming Invictus Games:
The special statue unveiling, taking place on July 1, will bring together Harry and brother William for the second time in over a year.
They were most recently reunited at the funeral of Prince Philip, who passed away in April.
The highly anticipated statue will stand at Kensington Palace, where William, Kate and their three young children reside.
While it’s unclear which royal family members will be at the official event, we’re sure the entire family will find time to catch up together in between.
