Turns out, Elizabeth uses Skype to keep in touch with her grandkids, especially Zara Tindall.

“She’s very much in the modern world, and as most grandparents know, if they want to keep in touch with their families these days that’s what they have to do.” Yvonne Browne, vice president of the Women’s Institute, previously told People back in 2015.

Peter Kirstein set up the account for the Queen, and her username was HME2. She became the first monarch to send an email, and she beat most of the common folk to use the internet in any capacity.

Twenty years later, she launched www.royal.gov.uk, which had its first update in 2009.

In 2014, she sent her first tweet via the royal family account: “It is a pleasure to open the Information Age exhibition today at the @ScienceMuseum and I hope people will enjoy visiting. Elizabeth R.”

But that was far from her first foray into social media, in fact Her Majesty launched a YouTube channel in 2007 then the royal family made Facebook and Flickr accounts in 2010.

Thankfully, she hopped right on board the Instagram train in 2013 as it’s through their Instagram and Twitter accounts that we get to see special photos from the royal family as well as receive some of their biggest updates.

Keep on posting, Elizabeth — we’ll be following!
