It’s been a tough week for some members of the royal family following Prince Philip’s car accident last week, however life seems to be carrying on as usual.
Accompanied by her son Prince Andrew, the Queen attended a Sunday church service at St Peter’s Church, Wolferton and seemed to put on a brave face as she entered.
On Thursday, 97 year-old Prince Philip was behind the wheel near Sandringham Estate, when his car overturned on a busy road in Norfolk.

Though the Duke of Edinburgh was uninjured in the crash, the 28-year-old driver of the other car suffered cuts to her knee. One of the car’s passengers, Emma Fairweather, suffered a broken wrist while the nine-month-old baby in the back seat was uninjured.
However the passengers received no apology from either Prince Philip or the Queen.
“I know the Queen is a busy lady but I was really excited at the idea she might phone me,” Ms Fairweather told the Sunday Mirror.
“Instead, I got a call from a police family liaison officer. The message he passed on didn’t even make sense. He said, ‘The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh would like to be remembered to you.’ That’s not an apology or even a well-wish.”
The Daily Mail reports that Prince Philip told people at the scene that he was dazzled by the low sun which led to the crash.

“On Doctor’s advice, The Duke of Edinburgh visited the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn this morning for a precautionary check-up. This confirmed His Royal Highness had no injuries of concern. The Duke has returned to Sandringham,” a Buckingham Palace spokesperson revealed.
Prince Philip also passed an eye test that was conducted on Saturday which was administered as part of the investigation into the accident.
“As is standard procedure with injury collisions, the incident will be investigated and any appropriate action taken. We are aware of the public interest in this case, however, as with any other investigation it would be inappropriate to speculate on the causes of the collision until an investigation is carried out,” a statement from Norfolk Police read.

However, the royal has found himself in hot water again when he was photographed driving without wearing his seatbelt just two days after his crash. And he wasn’t alone– on Friday, less than 24 hours after Prince Philip’s accident, the Queen was spotted driving down a public road without wearing a seat belt either.
As driving licenses in the UK are issued in her name, the Queen is the one person in the country who doesn’t need to own a driving license, however every other royal family must have one.
The Queen has been driving since she was 19 years-old and learned at a training centre while working in the wartime Auxiliary Territorial Service.
