Earlier this week, Australian-born Princess Mary arrived at a gala dinner at the Christiansborg Palace for the Arts and Culture banquet.
As usual, the mother-of-four was the picture of elegance as she walked onto the scene dressed in a form-fitting, textured black gown with sheer panelling, a sheer over-skirt and an embellished waist belt.
But perhaps her best accessory was a sparkling tiara that sat atop her neat up-do. The headpiece wasn’t just any old crown, but rather a necklace she had donned last year.
As eagle-eyed fans spotted, the brunette beauty had indeed worn the very same piece on her décolletage in 2015 for the pre-birthday celebrations of her mother-in-law, Queen Margrethe, who was marking her 75th milestone, at Aarhus in Denmark.
At the time, she also wore a simple black gown to allow the necklace to speak for itself.
The 44-year-old and her handsome husband, Prince Frederik, smiled widely for the cameras at the royal engagement hosted by the Princes 76-year-old mother, Queen Margrethe.
Joining the parents-of-four were Frederik’s younger brother Prince Joachim and his second wife Princess Marie, who looked stunning in a navy blue, lace gown.
