Crown Princess Mary has just stepped out in one of her most fashion-forward outfits of 2021 and we simply can’t get enough of it.
The Danish royal and her husband, Crown Prince Frederik, attended a special concert at Fredensborg Palace last night.
As always, the royal couple looked radiant as they dressed up for the event, which included guests from the Danish film industry such as Game of Thrones star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.
Frederik donned a crisp blue suit and bowtie for the evening, while Mary opted for something a little out of the ordinary.
Skipping the traditional royal ballgown, the princess wore a luxe lilac jumpsuit and couldn’t have looked happier in her chic, yet comfortable outfit.
The stunning MaxMara jumpsuit features a shimmering top with loose, sheer sleeves and wide-leg trousers in a flowing purple material of a slightly darker hue.
She paired it with a deep purple clutch and a pair of colour-coordinated heels to complete the monochrome look.
And in typical Mary fashion, this outfit was recycled! We first saw her don the chic jumpsuit back in 2019, when she wore it to the Danish Rainbow Awards.
That non-for-profit event was hosted by volunteers to honour people and companies that make positive contributions to the lives of people in the LGBTQIA+ community in Denmark.
Mary’s fashion choice was perfect, as the colour purple is widely associated with queer communities around the world.
It should come as no surprise that Mary chose to wear the outfit again this week, as the fashion-forward royal is a huge fan of recycling her favourite styles.
As patron of the Global Fashion Agenda, which she has been championing since 2009, the princess is a major supporter of sustainable fashion.
“We must take responsibility for our decisions and actions, what we buy and use and the impact they have on our common future and the impact and that of future generations,” she said as she launched the 2021 Copenhagen Fashion Summit (CFS+) earlier this month.
