On Tuesday, March 28, the couple arrived at Copenhagen Airport and were received by Queen Margrethe, Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie.

The royal couple are in Mary and Fred’s hometown for three days, where they hope to “further strengthen the already strong bonds between the two countries.”

The Aussie-born Princess looked very sophisticated in an all-blue ensemble.

In fact, we think she channeled fashion royalty, Jackie O, with her choice of outfit.

Mary was a vision in blue, complimenting both Queen Mathilde and her mother-in-law Queen Margrethe’s outfits.

Both Mary and the 44-year-old Belgium queen seemed delighted to see each other.

Also joining the meet-and-greet was Prince Joachim and his wife Princess Marie.

The 41-year-old oped for a green dress and a chic fascinator for the welcome ceremony.

The gala dinner was held in honour of the Belgium royals.

Doesn’t Mary look incredible!?

Mary recycled her look from her New Year’s Eve celebrations.

Queen Margrethe and King Philippe rode in a horse-drawn carriage to the welcome ceremony at Amalienborg Castle.

The pair waved to onlookers as they enjoyed their catch up.

King Philippe is the eldest son of Belgium’s former King Albert II, whom he succeeded in 2013 after he abdicated the throne for health reasons.

Philippe and his wife are the proud parents to their four kids including their eldest Princess Elisabeth, 15, who is the heir apparent and may one day become Belgium’s very first reigning Queen.

The couple have three other kids including Prince Emmanuel, Princess Eléonore and Prince Gabriel.

The last time the Belgium royal couple were in Denmark was in 2015 for Queen Margrethe’s 75th birthday.

The duo wave to the crowds.

So far on their visit, the couple have been shown around the city by their personal tour guides Princess Mary and Prince Fred.

They were treated to a cruise ride through Copenhagen Harbour before capping off their first day with a gala dinner in their honour.

The mum-of-four was truly a vision, dressed in a silk gold dress, which Mary previously donned during her NYE celebrations.

Meanwhile, Queen Mathilde sparkled in a vibrant orange gown while Princess Marie looked pretty in a cream sleeveless frock.

Mary and Fred played tour guide for their Belgium counterparts.

The state dinner was a lavish affair.

Cheers!
