Crown Princess Mary of Denmark and her family have welcomed two adorable new additions to the family; a pair of puppies!
The newest royal additions made their debut on Instagram today in a series of photos snapped by Mary and her youngest son, Prince Vincent.
Pictures show the brown and white border collie pups, who were born to the family’s dog Grace, snuggled up surrounded by Christmas decorations in the royal family’s palace home.
The royal family captioned the heart-warming snaps: “Here on the fourth Sunday in Advent, we would like to introduce two new residents at home.
“A little over six weeks ago, Grace became the mother of two of the cutest puppies…. to the great joy of us all.”
Grace, a border collie, joined the family back in 2017, after Mary and her husband Crown Prince Frederik’s first dog Ziggy sadly died.

(Getty)The older pooch, who was also a border collie, had been a wedding gift to the pair and lived for 12 happy years with Mary, Frederik and their children before passing in almost five years ago.
Now it looks like the family will have border collies around for many years to come, if they decide to keep Grace’s puppies.
It’s unclear if the puppies were a surprise or if the family intended to breed Grace, but one look at her pups could melt anyone’s heart, so we have a feeling they’ll be sticking around – especially if the royal children have a say in the matter!
Some of the photos shared to the Danish royal family’s Instagram account were taken by Prince Vincent, 10, who is undoubtedly smitten with the pups.
His siblings, Prince Christian, 16, Princess Isabella, 14, and twin sister Princess Josephine, 10, are likely just as happy to have the puppies around for the holiday season.
All the children will be home at the royal palace at Amalienborg for Christmas, where they’ll likely spend plenty of time bonding with the six-week-old puppies.
Hopefully the two new additions will help keep the children’s’ spirits up as their mother waits out her COVID-19 isolation away from them.
Princess Mary tested positive for the virus last week and is currently isolating in the family’s palace home, though is keeping away from her husband and children.
With the current 10-day isolation rules in Denmark, Mary is expected to be allowed to re-join her family – and the new puppies – by Christmas Day.
