Crown Princess Mary of Denmark has made a glamorous return to public life after being forced to isolate from the rest of the royal family while COVID-19 positive.
The Australian-born royal was diagnosed shortly before Christmas, going into isolation at Frederik VIII’s Palace at Amalienborg.
Her husband, Crown Prince Frederik, and their four children were unable to spend time with her for 10 days – the mandatory isolation period in Denmark at the time.
It now seems the royal has a clean bill of health, however, as she returned to royal duties to mark a very special occasion.

Denmark’s Queen Margrethe is currently celebrating her Golden Jubilee, marking 50 years on the Danish throne since her father’s death in 1972.
Mary stepped out for a royal family engagement as part of the celebrations for her mother-in-law, heading to Roskilde Cathedral with Frederik and other members of the monarchy.
There, the family paid tribute to the former king and Margrethe’s father, King Frederick IX, laying flowers at his grave in remembrance.
Dressed in a chic neutral frock and matching cape-style coat, the ever-stylish Mary accessorised with a classic pillbox hat, brown gloves and a single string of extravagant pearls.
Mary and Frederik’s children, Prince Christian, Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine, then joined the wider royal family for a “secret” dinner to mark Magrethe’s Golden Jubilee.
Photos were shared to the Danish royal family’s Instagram with the caption: “On the occasion of her 50th Government Anniversary, Her Majesty the Queen was surprised tonight by the immediate family with a secret dinner in Christian VII’s Palace at Amalienborg.
“As something very special, it was covered with the Flora Danica frame, which is the most expensive Danish tableware.”
Mary was honoured with a seat opposite her mother-in-law, while her eldest son Prince Christian sat at his grandmother’s right-hand side in the photo.
The Crown Princess looked regal in a purple gown for the evening, wearing her hair loose and keeping her jewellery minimal.
It was later revealed that Mary and Frederik were the masterminds behind the secret dinner hosted for Margrethe, according to a caption on the royal family’s Instagram.
“The royal family gathered on Friday night for a private dinner to mark that it was 50 years ago this evening that Her Majesty the Queen followed her father on the Danish throne,” it read.
“Prior to the dinner, which the Crown Prince Couple hosted and which took place in the Table Hall in Christian VII’s Palace at Amalienborg, an official photo of the royal family was taken in the palace’s green salon.”
The stunning family portrait from the evening showed the whole royal family gathered together to celebrate Queen Margrethe.
The men and boys, including Frederik, Prince Joachim, and their respective sons, donned crisp black suits for the formal occasion.
Meanwhile the ladies, including Mary and her two daughters, picked out elegant gowns in shades of purple, navy, emerald and cream.
