Princess Mary always looks impeccably stylish and has become known for her fabulous taste in clothes, but her weakness, it seems, is handbags reports Daily Mail.
A Danish publication, Se Og Hoer, has revealed that Crown Princess Mary has splurged on 59 handbags in the past five years, which she doesn’t just pick up at the local shopping centre.
She has a penchant for designer leather.
With a collection which includes pieces by Prada, Chanel, Ralph Lauren, and Hermes it is thought that her lot is worth at least $200,000.
The most expensive bag on the 44-year-old Royal’s arm is a highly coveted black crocodile Hermes Birkin worth a staggering $44,500.
Her favourite, that she is spotted with time and again is her tan Ralph Lauren Ricky bag, worth $3,600; a versatile bag that goes with everything and is big enough to keep down-to-earth Mary’s daily accoutrement of kid’s tissues, sippy cups and apple cores.
Although Mary has an extensive and impressive collection of bags, the Crown Princess reuses them as she goes, and we all understand the importance of having the right bag for the right occasion … and really, what good is being a Crown Princess if you can’t enjoy a few of the finer things in life?
