The royal family and bombshell books seem to go together like a horse and carriage, and unfortunately for the Prince and Princess of Wales, it seems like it might be their time in the firing line again.

Ahead of the release of the Duchess of Sussex’s unofficial spokesperson Omid Scobie’s new book, Endgame, it’s clear that Meghan’s confidant is taking no prisoners.

As Woman’s Day went to print, early pages of the book started to leak, with damning details of Prince William and Prince Harry’s relationship on full display.

And sources say Kate, 41, is bracing herself for yet more attacks against her family, fearful that it will undermine not only her but also her three children and extended family.

In an extract shared with People magazine, Omid revealed William views Harry, 39, as a “defector”, claiming he has been “brainwashed by an army of therapists” and he “no longer recognises his own brother”.

Following the fallout of Harry’s memoir Spare, Omid reveals William still feels a huge amount of anger.

“He feels betrayed and sad about the situation. But he also doesn’t agree with the things his brother feels he has done.”

“He feels he has lost Harry and doesn’t want to know this version of him.”

Omid also speaks of Harry’s hurt when the Queen died, suggesting that the Sussexes were left to “operate in the dark” with no communication from his family, despite William securing a flight with his uncles, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward, and Edward’s wife Sophie to Balmoral.

“[Harry] was completely by himself on this,” a source said. “William ignored him… He clearly didn’t want to see his brother.”

Whispers are growing that Omid, in an effort to defend his friend Meghan and settle scores, will also lay bare secrets about Kate’s ascension to the royal fold, as well as details about her everyday life.

Understandably for the princess, her fears are said to be centred around the looming threat of details being leaked about her kids, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five, whose she is “extremely protective” of.

Since as far back as 2017, William, also 41, and Kate have had a difficult relationship with Meghan.

First reports indicated that the heir had expressed doubts to Harry over Meghan’s “suitability” in The Firm, given her past as an aspiring Hollywood actress.

However, the Sussexes’ 2018 wedding was the culmination of the divide between Kate and Meghan after The Sun claimed Kate was reduced to tears following a wedding fitting for Charlotte.

Meghan, 42, later went on record to insist it was in fact the other way around, with Kate allegedly making her cry.

While the truth remains in question, sources insist the incident was the beginning of the end for the women.

With just days before more revelations are laid bare, Kate can only hope her children remain unscathed.
