With only four sleeps to go until Princess Eugenie ties the knot with her soon-to-be-hubby Jack Brooksbank, we can imagine her excitement is mounting – not least because of a drool-worthy cake on the menu for the big day.
New details released by Buckingham Palace reveal some important additions to Eugenie and Jack’s nuptials, and the description of the wedding cake was hard to miss.
WATCH: Get to know Princess Eugenie’s fiancee, Jack Brooksbank:
The pair have chosen a London cake designer, Sophie Cabot, to create the work of art for their big day.
She’ll be creating a red velvet chocolate cake, described as a “traditional cake, with a modern feel”.
“It will incorporate the rich colours of autumn in its design and will be covered with detailed sugar work including ivy.”
Can we just have a slice now and be done with it!?
The cake creator came to the attention of the royals when she became involved in the Duke of York’s Pitch@Palace program, for which she supplied bespoke biscuits.
The statement from Buckingham Palace said Eugenie and Jack were “delighted” that Cabot was involved in the celebration of their nuptials.

The wedding will also include a trumpet fanfare during the service, written especially for the occasion. Scottish pipers will also play as the bride and groom depart the chapel for the carriage procession.
And while there’ll be plenty of royal traditions incorporated into the big day, the military involvement is a reflection of Jack’s family history – his great Grandfather, Sir Jack Coke, was an officer in the Scots Guards.
Italian singer Andrea Bocelli will perform during the service, while the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will also play.
Archbishop of York John Sentamu has written a personal prayer for the couple, and St George’s Chapel’s director of music, James Vivian, has written two descants for two hymns that will be sung during the service.
