Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank might be staying well put indoors during Britain’s quarantine period, but they’re still finding joy in the little things.
Jack has just celebrated his birthday – yet another royal birthday to occur in isolation – and while things are a little different this year, his wife has found a way to make it all the more special by posting a sweet tribute to him on Instagram.
And going by the stunning pictures, it seems the Princess put plenty of thought into the post.
Eugenie wrote to her husband, “Happy Birthday my love 😍… xx,” alongside two stunning images which gave us a rare insight into the royals lives.
The first was a candid outtake from the pair’s wedding day back in October 2018.
The black-and -white picture shows the Princess looking very content beside her new husband Jack.
The second image seems to be taken more recently, and shows Jack walking through a beautiful garden.
The royal pair, who have been self-isolating at Eugenie’s former childhood residence in the UK, have been together for almost ten years.
Working in the hospitality industry for years, Jack is a headstrong businessman, and is hugely passionate about the feat.
“I want to create a chain of pubs,” he once said in an interview.
“It has been my dream since I was 18. I have fond memories of Sunday roasts in pubs with log fires, and it’s something I want to recreate.”
Eugenie’s mother Sarah ferguson also marked her son-in-law’s birthday with a special Instagram post.
Sharing a beautiful image of Jack and Eugenie from their post-wedding reception, the Duchess wrote: “Happy Birthday my ‘James Bond’ son-in-law .. you are such a huge heart of goodness.”
Eugenie and Jack have had a turbulent time amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
In March, it was revealed that Jack’s father George had been admitted to hospital after testing positive for the virus.
At the time, the 71 year old was reported to be in a serious, but stable condition.
No further official update has since come from the family, but it seems he is continuing to recover.
Earlier this month, Eugenie took part in a special initiative amid the pandemic which was organised by her mum.
In a new YouTube series by Sarah Ferguson whereby the Duchess reads children’s books for their entertainment during lockdown, she enlisted the help of her daughter to make a special appearance on the channel.
Reading the popular children’s story Guess How Much I Love You by Sam McBratney (Eugenie’s favourite children’s book), fans also spotted a rather sweet detail on the swing she was sitting on – it was engraved with her name.
With this in mind, it really seems that despite tricky circumstances, the royals are truly making the best of the situation they’ve been given.
