Since the tragic day, there has been no end to rumours, wild claims and reports about what really happened the night she was killed.

And the latest claim has rocked the boat entirely, as a couple who claim to have witnessed the wreckage of the crash mere minutes after it occurred speak out with their own version of events.

In a shock new report from UK publication The Express, two witnesses, Robin and Jack Firestone have spoken out about their experience after driving past the crash shortly after it occurred on the fateful night of August 31, 1997.

Claiming her death was no accident, Robin told the publication: โ€œWe still live in fear today because of what we saw and what we were told.โ€

โ€œI think the crash was a royal thing and other forces were involved,โ€ Jack added.

The pair say they are now living in fear, within a gated complex because they are terrified there could be reprisals from speaking out.

The pair have said their testimony was so controversial that they were stopped from giving evidence by both the French and British authorities because of the questions their version of events raised.

The pair say they entered the same tunnel mere minutes after the crash that eventually led to Dianaโ€™s death.

As they sat in the back of a taxi, they claim they saw the wrecked Mercedes S280, which Diana was in, as well as two โ€œformalโ€ cars that were stopped in front of Dianaโ€™s.

โ€œI could not understand why they were there. They looked at odds with what had happened. I saw those darks cars, and they must have entered ahead of Dianaโ€™s,โ€ Robin told The Express

Explaining that they looked โ€œdarkโ€ and formal, she continued: โ€œThey were just awkwardly parked, and I donโ€™t recall anyone being in them. The two cars had to be driving ahead of Dianaโ€™s car. They then ยญburied all reference to them, but they were there.โ€

Another witness, Gary Hunter said he thought one of the vehicles was โ€œshieldingโ€ the other one, which could have hit Dianaโ€™s car, according to the publication.

Jack elaborated about the scene, telling The Express: โ€œThere was only one police officer stood at the car and a lot of ยญphotographers.

โ€œHe was acting as if it didnโ€™t seem like an emergency at all. We thought the survivors had already been taken off to the hospital.โ€

And it wasnโ€™t until the next morning that the pair claim they realised the woman involved in the crash was Princess Diana.

According to the publication, Jack is now in talks with film and television studios for a book he wrote, named Chasing Diana.
