Princess Charlotte only started school last week, but already the cheeky four-year-old has earned herself such a reputation at her new school that she’s been given an adorable new nickname.

Charlotte started “big school” in London on Thursday, joining her older brother Prince George, six, at Thomas’s Battersea.

The pair were accompanied by their parents Duchess Catherine and Prince William on their first day, where they adorably shook hands with their headmistress and were bundled off for their introductory day of classes.

Both Charlotte and George have the surname Cambridge, so are referred to as “Charlotte Cambridge” and “George Cambridge” at school.

But Charlotte has already acquired a few nicknames for herself, according to respected royal expert, Vanity Fair’s royal correspondent Katie Nicholl.

“Charlotte will be known as Charlotte Cambridge, so that will be her name when she’s called out on the register, but I suspect her friends will call her what most of her friends called her at Willcocks Nursery School, which is Lottie, and that’s a name that her parents call her, ” Nicholl told Entertainment Tonight.

And due to her famously feisty nature, she’s also been given another adorable moniker.

“The other nickname that she had when she was at Willcocks Nursery, which was up until just before the summer, was the Warrior Princess,” Nicholl revealed.

“I’m wondering if that might be a nickname that will stick with her. Apparently she earned that nickname because obviously she is a Princess, but she’s quite a tomboy.

“She loves climbing trees and she’s very much an adventurer, she was quite known for her feisty personality, so we’ll wait to see if that nickname sticks.”

It’s believed Charlotte’s new schoolmates have also adopted the nickname for the little Princess.

Charlotte’s cheeky nature was on display last month when she was captured on camera poking her tongue out in public while attending the Kings Cup Regatta in Cowes, England.

While her mother Kate gently chastised her somewhat naughty behaviour, it was later revealed that Charlotte wasn’t poking her tongue out at the crowds, but rather had spotted her grandfather Michael Middleton, showing a sweet insight into the pair’s playful relationship.
