Doing away with protocol, the stunning photographs, which were unveiled via Kensington Palace’s Twitter account, were taken by Duchess Catherine herself in mid-May at their Anmer Hall residence in Norfolk. Once again showing a softer, more down-to-earth side of this very modern Royal family.

The Duchess spends most of her time in front of the camera as one of the world’s most photographed women but she herself is a keen photographer which is abundantly clear by the stunning shots she snapped of her son and daughter.

Princess Charlotte is set to be christened on July 5 promoting much speculation on who will take on the coveted role of Godparents.

The Duke and Duchess sparked some controversy when they named a former royal aide, a friend of Princess Diana and their mutual university pal as Prince George’s Godparents.

This time around Prince Harry and Pippa Middleton are expected to be given the role for the new Princess.

Royal expert Victoria Arbiter told HELLO magazine, “It’s an important role, A godparent is there to provide religious guidance. It’s also somebody who is there other than a parent or family member that a child could turn to.”

She added: “William and Kate are so keen to keep things on the down low and pretty chill, they want someone who is close to them and that they can trust.”
