You heard it here first: The royals can’t get enough of the land Down Under.
Well, that’s if you consider Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan’s recent whirlwind royal tour of Australia, a special visit from Princess Diana’s niece at the same time, and then Prince Andrew’s blink-and-you’ll-miss-it arrival earlier this week.
And to reiterate our belief further, Andrew’s daughter Princess Beatrice has also touched down in Sydney – but before we start thinking of a fond father-daughter reunion, it turns out the young red-headed royal is here for quite a different reason.
Princess Bea, who was spotted landing in LA earlier this week, has dropped by Sydney to speak at a women in business conference in Sydney.
The 30-year-old’s proud mum, Sarah Ferguson, shared a post on Instagram praising her daughter for her involvement in the event.
“So proud of Beatrice who is in Australia representing Afiniti for women in business,” she wrote.
This isn’t the first time this year the young royal has visited Sydney – she secretly flew into Australia in June, attending a lunch and taking part in a tour of St Vincent’s Hospital in Darlinghurst.
Meanwhile, Bea’s pa Andrew is in Sydney for an entirely different reason again – the Duke of York has brought his Pitch@Palace initiative down under.
Taking to his official Instagram, the Prince shared a picture of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House along with the caption: “Good morning Sydney! #pitchatpalace On Tour Sydney takes place later today @sydoperahouse!”
This is the second year the Duke has brought his Pitch@Palace initiative to Sydney.
Dubbed “Pitch@Palace 2.0”, the program “gives Entrepreneurs the opportunity to meet the people who can help make their business dreams become a reality.”
The York’s mini takeover Down Under comes after it was revealed Princess Beatrice is dating a new beau – divorced father-of-one Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
According to British publication The Sun, Edoardo works as a property developer, and is reportedly a multi-millionaire owning a property consultancy company specialising in finding and developing multi-million pound homes.
And things are already getting serious between the pair, with the 34-year-old having already met Bea’s parents!
In fact, things are moving so fast between the pair that Bea’s close friends are expecting another royal wedding soon!
“Things are moving very quickly and it wouldn’t surprise anyone if they got engaged within a short period of time,” the source told The Sun.
“They could even be tying the knot in 2019 — it’s already been discussed by her friends.”
Fergie and Prince Andrew would no doubt be a united front when it comes to their daughters, and appear to have a strong relationship despite their divorce in 1996.
In a tell-all interview in October, Sarah gave a definitive answer on whether she would re-marry her ex-husband, Prince Andrew.
When asked by the Daily Mail if she still loves her ex-husband, Fergie revealed, “We both say it. We are completely compatible. Our bywords are communication, compromise and compassion.”
In fact, the Duchess of York says she is not divorced from him but rather divorced “to” him.
“July 23, 1986 [the Duke and Duchess’ wedding day] was the happiest day of my life. Andrew is the best man I know. What he does for Britain is incredible; no one knows how hard he works for his country,” she explained.
