New parents Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have been spotted out together at a royal event for the first time since welcoming daughter Sienna.
The couple were all dressed up on Saturday to attend the wedding of Greece’s Prince Philippos and Nina Flohr in Athens.
Though they were spotted out for a casual visit to an art fair earlier this month, this is their first big royal outing since becoming parents.
Wearing a chic Gucci frock with a large, sparkling bow detail, it’s hard to believe Beatrice gave birth less than two months ago.
She and Edoardo welcomed Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi on September 18, 2021 and have not yet released any photos of their bundle of joy to the public.
Instead, royal watchers have been given their first glimpse of the proud new parents on a “kid-free” day out for the special royal occasion.
Prince Philippos – who is godson to the late Princess Diana – and Nina hosted their lavish wedding at Metropolitan Cathedral of Athens, but it wasn’t their first time saying “I do”.
The pair first wed civilly in 2020 with only their fathers present, due to COVID-19 restrictions, then again in a small ceremony at a friend’s property in the UK.
Now, the couple have formally tied the knot in an official ceremony attended by a number of royals, including Beatrice and her sister Princess Eugenie.
Eugenie arrived with her husband, Jack Brooksbank, and opted for an understated look in a black Peter Pilotto gown – the same designer behind her 2018 wedding dress.
The royal couple welcomed their first child in February – a baby boy named August – just months before Beatrice and Edoardo became parents too.
It’s understood that Beatrice and Eugenie are closer than ever after both becoming mothers, with the hopes their children will grow up together.
Eugenie penned a sweet message to her sister and new niece following Sienna’s birth in September, writing on Instagram: “To my dearest Beabea and Edo, Congratulations on your new angel.
“I can’t wait to meet her and I’m so proud of you. We’re going to have so much fun watching our children grow up. Love Euge.
“To my new niece, I love you already and think you’re just awesome from the photos.. we’re going to have so much fun together. Love your Auntie Euge 🥰🥰💕💕😘”
Beatrice and Eugenie weren’t the only royals in attendance on Saturday though, with other key figures from around Europe also stepping out for Prince Philippos’ wedding to Nina.
Queen Sofia of Spain, Princess Benedikte of Denmark and more donned their gems and jewels for the lavish occasion.
The Greek royals were also out in force, including Greece’s Crown Prince Pavlos and Crown Princess Marie-Chantal with their five accomplished children.
