She announced her pregnancy in May and now, Princess Beatrice of York has made her first public appearance since sharing the exciting news.
The 32-year-old was joined by her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi on day ten of the Wimbledon Championships Tennis Tournament in London on Thursday.
All eyes were on the royal mother to-be and her growing bump, which she dressed in a stunning polka-dot dress by Self Portrait and featured a fish-tail hemline, puff sleeves and a belted in waist, which perfectly highlighted her growing belly.
She accessorised her look with a beach-inspired basket bag and a red face mask.
Meanwhile Beatrice’s husband Edo cut a dapper figure in a navy suit.
Also in attendance in The Queen’s VIP royal box was Bea’s aunt, Countess Sophie of Wessex.
Princess Beatrice’s pregnancy news was shared via an official statement from the Palace in May, which read: “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in autumn of this year.”
“The Queen has been informed and both families are delighted with the news.”
This marks an exciting new chapter for the pair. Beatrice is also a step-mum to Edo’s first son, Wolfie, four, whom he shares with his ex-fiancee Dara Huang.
The royal has previously spoken about becoming a parent-figure to Wolfie, telling the Evening Standard: “This year, I had the great honour to become a stepmother, and have had the most remarkable time going back over some of my most favourite stories at bedtime.”
Beatrice and Edoardo’s child will be the 12th great-grandchild for Queen Elizabeth II, and will sit 11th in line to the British throne, behind the likes of August Brooksbank, Archie and Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor, and the three Cambridge children.
Like their cousin August, Beatrice’s child will not carry an official royal title because they are passed down through the male line of the royal family.
That means Beatrice, who bears the title of HRH (Her Royal Highness), will be unable to pass her title onto this baby or any other children she has.
