Princess Anne is one of the royal family’s most iconic members, known for her hours of hard work, a strong-willed personality and her genuine kind nature.
But despite being one of the world’s most well-known people, perhaps her down-to-earth personality is the perfect ruse for going undercover – because according to a new report, it appears she can still catch a London tube without a soul looking up from their morning scroll through Instagram.
In a glorious new report from the Daily Mail, Princess Anne rode a London tube during London Fashion Week in February – but barely anyone on her carriage batted an eyelid.
The Princess royal boarded the tube at Green Park station, which is near her residence at St James’s Palace in London.
According to the report, she then took the easy 15 minute journey to St Paul’s Cathedral where she disembarked to attend the Fashion Week event.

A commuter who spotted the Princess told the publication: “She came through with another older woman and her security. We weren’t expecting any royalty.”
They added: “Hardly anybody seemed to notice them.”
We must say, that’s some pretty stealthy work from the 69-year-old royal!
Despite a low-key journey, Anne was front and centre at Fashion Week itself.
She helped to present an award at a showcase, which was named after her mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
Anne presented the prize to jewellery designer Rosh Mahtani, who was recognised for her forward-thinking and talent in fashion design.
Her label, Alighieri jewellery, is known for being made from responsibly sourced materials, its production also utilises local surroundings.
Anne is not the only royal who has taken public transport.
In November 2019, it was reported none other than Duchess Catherine jumped aboard a rural train to reach a formal engagement.
Heading to Norwich via the Wherry Lines train, the Duchess stunned commuters, particularly as she hopped off and headed to an awaiting car.
When you think about it, the royals might live in Palaces, but at the end of the day, they’re just like us…
