Just when we thought Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge’s marriage couldn’t get any more beautiful, they prove us wrong again.
The royal couple have released a series of stunning behind-the-scenes photos from the Earthshot Prize Awards earlier this week and royal watchers are smitten.
Snapped by regular royal photographer Chris Jackson, the black and white images show the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge sharing a few tender moments when the crowds weren’t watching.
One photo, which William and Catherine reposted to their Kensington Palace social accounts, shows the duo sharing a laugh as they walk through a curtained entryway.
Catherine appears to be giggling over something her husband has said as he glances back towards her with a smile.
A second photo shows William silhouetted in darkness as he waits in the wings during the event, but it’s the third image that has taken our breath away.
The photo was taken in a crowded room, but William and Catherine only have eyes for each other as they share a quite word, Catherine’s hand resting tenderly on her husband’s back.
Though the pair have been married for more than 10 years now, the public rarely see such intimate and affectionate moments between the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
William and Catherine are dedicated to their work and tend to keep public displays of affection to a minimum during formal engagements and while carrying out royal duties.
But these new photos offer royal watchers a glimpse into their more tender interactions not as two working royals, but as husband and wife of over a decade.
Both were dressed up to the nines for the Earthshot Prize Awards, where the photos were snapped, though they stuck to a strict dress code on the night.

The rule was that attendees – including the royals and a number of celebrities – were not to buy anything new to wear for the occasion.
Instead, they were asked to wear clothes they already had in their wardrobes to embrace more sustainable fashion practices, with Catherine choosing an Alexander McQueen dress she’s owned for 10 years.
Chris Jackson took to Instagram to share his thoughts on the incredible photos he caught behind the scenes on the big night.
“I had a fantastic opportunity to shoot ‘behind the scenes’ with @dukeandduchessofcambridge and the groundbreaking environmental initiative that will do a huge amount to change the narrative over the next few years,” he penned.
“I hope these pictures illustrate some the depth of feeling throughout the event.”
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in April and shared a set of stunning royal portraits to mark the occasion.
In the photos the pair cuddled up and shared several sweet moments, William holding Catherine’s hand in one snap, then wrapping his arms around her in another.
