Prince William has whisked Kate away to the Maldives for a romantic getaway ahead of their Australian and New Zealand tour.
The Duke and Duchess arrived in the island paradise on a British Airways flight at around 9.45am on Thursday, according to British royal reporter Katie Nicholl.
They will reportedly spend a week sunning themselves on a newly-opened resort located on its own private island in the northern Maldives.
It is not clear if they have brought their son Prince George with them but locals on the ground reported no sign of the seven-month-old.
If George has been left at home he will no doubt be under the care of his new fulltime nanny, reportedly a 22-year-old European woman hired by the royal couple earlier this month.
The new nanny will reportedly accompany William, Kate and George on their Antipodean tour next month to care for the baby while his parents are busy fulfilling their many official engagements.
